If you’re anything like us, you’ve felt the weight of the world this past year. Our intention for this experience is for you to return to a sense of grounded-ness and connection to the earth, yourself, your surroundings, and your vision for the new year. Among the vastness of the desert, you’ll explore the elements in a serene environment where you can take the time to turn inward, find space to recharge, and emerge with a sense of personal stability and readiness for what awaits in the year ahead.

Transportation Options

Adventure
You’re all about living a little, and you’re up for the challenge of navigating to La Loma Ranch yourself. You’ll drive straight into the property and park along the wash beneath base camp. This is a great option if you’d like some flexibility on what time you depart. We’ll provide you with a Google Maps link and written directions - you’ll need both to navigate safely. Please be advised that this road is maintained, but can be rough in spots. SUV’s at a minimum are recommended.
*$50 deduction in your ticket price if you select this option.

Explore
You want to settle into your weekend experience asap, and do it in style! You’ll drive to Terlingua, TX, then park your vehicle in a safe parking lot just off HWY 118, where your retreat hosts will greet you with a sparkling beverage, load your gear and set off for a 30-minute drive to La Loma Ranch. Get ready to be wowed by the remoteness of the desert, the views of Big Bend National Park in the distance, and all the flora and fauna the Chihuahuan Desert has to offer.

What to bring
We’ll provide you with a detailed packing list that helps you dress for the weather and sleep comfortably during the retreat. Generally, you’ll need:
A shelter (or cowboy camp straight on the dirt, if you’d like!)
A sleeping setup - sleeping bag, pillow, mattress pad, etc.
Headlamp
Warm layers for cool nights
Comfortable clothing suitable for yoga or hiking
Close toed shoes
Sunglasses and a hat or other sun protection
A yoga mat
Toiletries and medication
One or more reusable water bottles
Any other personal niceties that add to your comfort for the weekend
